This antique Robinson Ransbottom Pottery milk jug/pitcher is a stunning piece of history. The pitcher is from Roseville, Ohio, and is made of stoneware. The blue floral pattern on the pitcher is embossed and there is ribbing (both vertically and horizontally) that gives the piece a beautiful texture. The pitcher is 4.5 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. It weighs 1 pound, 12.8 ounces and was made in the 1920s.
With the exception of some crazing due to age in a few areas of the bottom, the pitcher is in Mint condition. The cobalt blue color is rich and undiminished. There are no chips or cracks and no sign of wear. This piece came from a high-end estate auction, so I suspect it was a collector's piece.
