Antique Portieux Vallerysthal VERY RARE Opale Milk Glass ROME Pattern Cake Stand

This is a VERY, VERY RARE, 'Opale' / Milk Glass 'ROME' Pattern Cake Salver / Cake Stand, that was made in France in 1913, by the French glass company, Portieux Vallerysthal (PV). This was verified via Vallérysthal's 1913 catalog on page 5, service 'ROM' at the CW website 11 years ago. Just search 'Vallérysthal Portieux Opaque Glass Salvers'. The result should be at the top for Collector's Weekly. * Very few, of these, can be found online, in the blue (IRIS) milk color, though none for sale, and there are NONE, available of this, what PV called their 'OPALE' color...aka 'milk glass'. * This large salver/stand, is a massive 11.5" diameter and stands at 6.0" high. * Again, this is extremely rare and none this massive size, has even been seen available online, anywhere. Perfect for weddings!! If you are a party planner and/or rent out cake stands for weddings, showers, parties, etc, you'd make your money back on this rare beauty pretty fast!
