This is a VERY nice antique Northwood Glass Company chrysanthemum base swirl opal pressed glass UV reactive toothpick holder. Circa 1893. The top is ground and polished. There is a spot on the top which may be a chip/nick (see pictures), or it may have been this way when it was made. See picture. Size is 2-1/16 inches high by 2 inches at the widest point. Diameter across the top is 1-3/16 inches.

I've been drawn to vintage items since childhood, when I would spend much time looking at all the lovely, colorful, whimsical items in my grandparent's homes as well as in my mother's china cabinet. My grandmother's collection of salt and pepper shakers especially entranced me, as well as my mother's colorful and ultra-feminine collection of glass and ceramic serving ware. Now, I enjoy collecting and selling vintage items that keep me connected to those fond memories.
