This is a genuine antique, produced in the early 1900s. Often called a "lobster dish" it is because of the decoration, not what you serve in it. Although the gilding is worn quite a bit, I think I like it better this way.
It is from German maker Joseph Schachtel. Features a detailed hand-painted lobster design on a glossy finish. Dimensions: 14 in X 10.5 in X 3 in high at top of dish (5 in high including handle) This unique piece is perfect for all occasions and will add a touch of elegance to any table setting.
Crafted from high-quality ceramic and porcelain materials, this lobster dish is perfect for collectors or those looking for a statement piece to display. It comes with a single bowl and is an original piece from the early 1900s. Add a touch of history and culture to your home with this beautiful antique platter.

I am a Lutheran pastor living in Philadelphia. I love treasures and finding them in odd places. I secretly long to go mudlarking. I’ve always wanted a metal detector. And I’ve never been to a “bad” thrift store. (Don’t tell my spouse how much you can buy with twenty bucks!) My adult daughter is often my thrifting companion.
