Per The Potteries.org:

  • Earthenware manufacturer at the Newport pottery, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England

  • The previous company of S W Dean went into liquidation in 1910 and in June 1910 Samuel Webster Dean was declared bankrupt.

  • A new company was registered (by others) as Deans (1910) Ltd.

  • In operation 1910 - 1919

• Red script on base: "1540"
