Details

Coronet Candlesticks And Small Pot In a stunning purple and adorned with peacocks and Art Deco designs. In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or damage. There is not much known about this line of porcelain but they have a club/society in the UK.
These pieces of Maling were made between 1923 and 1929.

Coronet fact file. • The Coronet mark was registered to retailer George Borgfeldt as early as 1905, but the version we are familiar with was introduced in 1923. • Maling stopped producing for Borgfeldt in 1929 with the Wall Street crash. Current orders were sold off on the British market. • The pattern numbers seen on Coronet marked ware are Borgfeldt’s own numbers and not Maling’s. • There are many other versions of the Coronet mark, but only those with “Maling” and “Newcastle on Tyne” were made by Maling. Other versions were used by other makers, including ones in France, Germany, Czechoslovakia and the UK.

Sadly they have no records! Great collector pieces!

Selling since March 2024

About a decade ago, my thrifting journey kicked off when my aunt passed away, leaving behind her house and all its contents to us. Tasked with selling off the items the family didn't want to keep, I found myself diving headfirst into the world of discovering new and intriguing things. I was truly astounded by the variety of items that people were interested in buying from us!

Now, my husband and I have turned this passion into a shared hobby, traveling far and wide to attend auctions, sift through thrift stores, explore estate sales, and scour garage sales. Each item we come across becomes an opportunity for me to delve into research and learn something new. For us, it's not just about making a sale, but about the joy of acquiring knowledge.

Interacting with customers is a highlight of our thrifting adventure. We take great care in packaging each item, sending it off with well wishes for a safe journey to its new home. Our hope is that whoever receives our packages will come to love the items as much as we do.
