Experience the charm of the Victorian era with this Atterbury & Co. milk glass bowl, featuring the "Dancing Sailors" pattern in a crimped edge along the bowl. Crafted @1886, this authentic antique piece showcases the elegance of the time with its round shape, glossy finish, and open edge design. Measuring 8.5 inches in width and 3.5 inches in height, this bowl is a testament to the craftsmanship of the period. Produced in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this unusual item is a true representation of 19th-century American pressed glass artistry. Whether displayed as a collector's piece or used to serve guests, it adds a touch of historical sophistication to any setting. Note: Atterbury & Co. ceased operations in 1899 and they produced this pattern. Imperial Glass reproduced some Atterbury glass much later, but all of those reproductions have the Imperial Glass mark stamped on them. This piece has no mark, which leads me to believe it is Atterbury.
The bowl is in excellent condition. I suspect is was a display piece for all of these years. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
