Antique jar dating from the Art Nouveau period (circa 1890s-1910s) beautiful hand-painted floral and leaf motifs in rich gold enamel, accented with white enamel "moriage" likely served as a biscuit barrel, cracker jar, sugar bowl, or perhaps a vanity/powder box. The organic, flowing designs are characteristic of high-end European art glass from Bohemia or France during the Belle Époque/Victorian transition period.
