A little history: Allison Arnold (1958–2010) was a gifted artist and potter based in Maine. She graduated from the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and later established herself in Skowhegan, Maine. Allison’s pottery was celebrated throughout the Northeast, earning her numerous awards and recognition as one of New England’s premier potters. Her pieces were known for their quirky yet functional style, displaying a distinctive personality and spirit, often punctuated by playful elements such as “cat ears” on her pottery, which contributed to the affectionate nickname "Alli Cat."
