Add a touch of vintage charm to your dinner table with this Alcobaca Pottery dinner plate. Made of high-quality ceramic material, this round plate features a beautiful hand-painted spring turnip (or really fat carrot!) in vivid peach and yellow. The backstamp on this original piece indicates its country of origin, Portugal, where it was crafted using traditional pottery techniques. Raul da Bernarda, an Alcobaca (Portugal) factory founded in 1875, produced great ceramics until the family business closed in 2008.
This plate is 10.25 inches in diameter. Add it to your collection, replace a missing piece, or use as a colorful serving dish for vegetables. The paint is in excellent condition; there is some crazing (see pictures).
