#5006 Japan Macleod and Stedman Lion Cookie Jar 1950s

Vintage hand painted lion cookie jar in great condition. Approx 9 x 6 inches An adorable golden brown Lion holding a book with a red hat lid. The colours are very vibrant, super, unique, and cute ceramic piece. Measurements: Approximately 7" tall including hat, 5" wide, and about 14" circumference. I believe this is from the 50s: no cracks or crazing. However, a very small paint loss here and there which does not take away from the piece. Original labels on the bottom of the jar.Perhaps this reminds you of your childhood when you got a special cookie as a treat. The day the cookie jar got filled was a great day!
