These three (3) Iroquois 'Lazy Daisy' pattern Coupe Soup Bowls are a vintage set from 1962. Iroquois produced this pattern from 1958-1968 and the design by Ben Seibel captures the MCM period perfectly! The happy blue and yellow daisies inside the bowl are mirrored by the cheerful yellow outer side. Made of high-fired vitreous china, these round bowls have a diameter of 7.75 inches and a height of 1.6 inches. This original set of three bowls weighs 3 pounds and was manufactured in the United States by Iroquois' through their Informal True China line. They were marketed as coupe soup bowls, but they would also work as cereal bowls.
The bowls are in very good used condition. There are no chips or cracks on any of them. There is minor wear from utensil use; please see the close-up of the third bowl where it is more pronounced (pictures 6 & 7). One of the three bowls has a lighter blue set of daisies than the other two. Please see the pictures for a complete sense of description. Thank you!
