Beautiful vintage plate commemorating King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visit to Canada and United States in 1939
This plate was issued by Pareek Johnson Bros ceramic makers in England.
Plate measures approximately 10 inches in diameter.
King George VI and Queen Elizabeth illustration in center heart shape surrounded by flags of Britain, Canada and US, Royal Crown above and gold ribbon with a banner that reads "Long May They Reign"
Made in 1939 to commemorate the visit to the USA and Canada of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England, the parents of the late Queen Elizabeth II, grandparents of King Charles III, and great grandparents of Princes William and Henry.
They are pictured together, with crown and flags between the capitol Washington and the Parliament Peace Tower of Ottawa.
Plate is round and has a cream coloured border edged in gold.
It is in wonderful condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. Age crazing is present.
