Details
Ceramic cookie jars became popular in the mid-20th century as both functional kitchen storage and decorative items. Manufacturers often produced them in whimsical and novelty shapes, with animal figures, characters, and household objects being common themes. These pieces were designed to add charm and personality to the kitchen while keeping baked goods fresh.
Alberta's Pottery was a ceramics company known for producing decorative and functional items, including cookie jars, during the mid-20th century. Based in California, their pieces often featured hand-painted details or molded designs, and many have become sought-after collectibles. Although they made made reproductions, they made only two colorways on the first run and this is one of them.
Callouts: one chip seen in picture and tail looks like it was fixed at some point also shown in picture.
