Unusual and Hard to Find 1950s Viking Glass Green Peg Bowl and Crystal Candle Holder Here is a stunning piece of Viking Glass from the 1950s - part of the convertible line Viking marketed in 1951-2 "As You Like It". The idea is the base section can be a three light candle holder, or it can hold the green peg bowl. The green bowl is perfect for flowers. The green bowl has a peg bottom that fits into the middle candle socket. The color is evergreen, a rich, deep green. The separate three-light crystal candle holder is 9 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches tall, a good size for a centerpiece. The peg bottom bowl is 6 1/4 inches wide and 4 5/8 inches tall. When you put the pieces together the set stands 6 inches tall . It's a gorgeous combination that is perfect for the holidays or any time, and so easy to use on your table.

Viking Glass made many different combinations of flower bowls with and without candle holders or frog inserts. Dean Six in his book on Viking Glass shows copies of Viking ads from 1952 that show this set.

Both pieces are in great condition with no chips or cracks. There is light wear on the deep green bowl you can see if you look closely for it.
