This webinar will discuss the plant protection strategies that greenhouse producers can implement to manage mealybugs, a persistent insect pest that affects plant health and marketability. It will address plant protection strategies including cultural and physical techniques, and the appropriate use of insecticides to manage mealybug populations below plant damaging levels. Topics will include: • The challenges associated with managing mealybug populations in production systems. • Insecticides that are commercially available to greenhouse producers. • How to properly use insecticides to manage mealybug populations below plant damaging levels. • Understand the non-insecticidal strategies that need to be implemented to manage mealybug populations.
