Hey Hayfro, I was just watching Polish Petes new video on Google promoting ebay listings. Which sounds valid. Etsy sellers are having the same problems too so I’m wondering if it could be a netwide change with how Google promotes? They want more money so its all marketplaces having to fork out more for offsite ads? Also - I don’t know if you know this but a lot of the items you sell, you could sell on Etsy under their Vintage categories. It might be worth a try for you. Like you need one more thing to do 🤣 but its a possibility. Etsy is clearly better than ebay at this point

i believe any marketplace can work on district. Think of it simply as another website to house your listings. It will require work on your part to get the word out on your marketplace but so would shofify or starting your own website. right? If you do decide to start your own place circle back and contact me later on as Jack and I will be starting a group on dischord for sellers to learn how to market and a place where we as marketplace owners can help grow and share ideas together so we aren't all alone in this. at least that's the plan. 2024 is going to be a learning curve for many of us but hopefully we can come out of this in a better place and not be so reliant on ebay and etsy. I have heard about a lot of issues etsy has as well. thanks for watching and I wish you success in whatever you chose to do.

Hi Hayfro I follow you on YouTube. I make custom pet urns and sell on Etsy. I don’t know if you can answer this question but thought I would try - would a handmade marketplace work on District? For custom stuff my creation times are 4 - 8 weeks. Etsy sellers need an alternative also, plenty issues there. Think this would be possible?

I do want to keep a theme on this marketplace. you are more then welcome to list anything that would fit under that theme now or in the future. other products you'd have more success selling in other marketplaces which is the cool thing about district is you can sell on multiple marketplaces. lmk if you have any other questions.
