This vintage Russian black and red lacquer hinged lid box features intricate hand-painted artwork (based on the irregularities of the painting) of a magic swan and geese on what appears to be a raised lid with red interior. Measuring 2.25 x 2.25 inches, this traditional piece showcases the beauty and craftsmanship of Russian culture. These boxes are primarily made from papier-mâché, constructed from layers of cardboard, glued, pressed, and cured for weeks to ensure durability.
