This vintage WWII sterling silver sweetheart military charm bracelet features various charms representing different branches and specialties within the U.S. Army during WWII. The charms for the branches are: the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers castle insignia, the Ordnance Corps flaming bomb insignia with shell, the Field Artillery branch insignia of crossed artillery cannons, an Army mule charm representing the West Point/U.S. Military Academy mascot, the Infantry branch insignia of crossed rifles, the Army Air Forces pilot wings, the Great Seal of the United States with the Army eagle emblem, the Cavalry crossed sabers insignia, the Quartermaster Corps eagle and wheel insignia, and the Medical Corps caduceus. Each of these charms shows fine detail in miniature, capturing the official insignia designs that soldiers would have worn on their uniforms. These types of charm bracelets were popular during WWII as mementos and remembrances. They were often collected by servicemen's wives, girlfriends, or family members, with each charm representing different aspects of their loved one's military service or different military assignments and achievements. Such bracelets have become valued collectibles that document personal connections to military service during World War II.
