Vintage Taracea Marquetry Hinged Keepsake / Jewelry / Trinket Box

Small vintage handmade box likely made in Spain. The box is beautifully handcrafted marquetry inlay work and features geometric patterns where the center has a starburst motif on the lid with triangular inlays surrounding it. The finish is lacquer to help preserve the inlay. Inside is a red material possibly felt which is very clean. Gold tone hinge and latch which has no rust or discoloration.

It’s a fairly small size and would be a lovely way to present a small gift like a ring or another type of trinket.

In good vintage condition, free from damage or repair and shows typical signs of wear.
