Details
Sellers note: The photos do not do the piece justice. This is an extremely well made piece and has impeccable structure. I cleaned up a few sections and it will shine up well. This is something that can be a beautiful heirloom pice for many generations.
This authentic Spanish Damascene (Toledoware) bracelet features a sophisticated, structured design. Unlike fluid chains, this piece is crafted with a semi-rigid, double-pin articulation designed to hold a tailored "bangle" shape on the wrist. The panels feature the traditional Damasquinado technique: 24k gold foil hand-inlaid into blackened steel, showcasing alternating songbird and floral motifs. Condition Details: • Clasp: Very secure. The tab-insert clasp clicks firmly into place and stays shut. • Structure: Semi-rigid by design; the links move on a dual-pin system to maintain an oval shape. • Safety Chain: Missing (loops are intact if you wish to add one). • Wear: Character-grade vintage patina and plating wear on the underside of the links. The decorative top panels remain bright and detailed. Quick Specs: • Weight: 28 grams • Circa: 1950s–1960s • Origin: Toledo, Spain
