Vintage Santa Claus Christmas Ornaments | Ceramic Hanging Ornaments for a Christmas Tree | Santa on His Sleigh and Santa With a Christmas Stocking | 1960s Made in Japan

This is a vintage pair of Christmas ornaments, featuring everyone's favorite, Santa Claus! Made in Japan, probably during the 1960s, these were both crafted from light-weight ceramic, and decorated extensively with cold-paint. That bright red they used sure makes Santa look extra jolly! One shows Santa stuffing a stocking full of Christmas goodies, while the other depicts him riding on his sleigh, complete with a reindeer up front. Both have been punched with a pair of holes near the top, so they can be tied and hung on the tree, or by a chimney with care! Condition: This pair is in Very Good shape! Santa on the sleigh has no chips, cracks, or any other damage that I could find. Santa with the stocking does have a chip off the heel of one of his boots... I think. It may be a factory flaw that was just painted over, (a common occurrence back in the day), or perhaps the previous owner lovingly touched it up. Either way, there is a bit of a rough spot there, but it's hard to see unless you know what you're looking for! The cold-paint on both ornaments is in excellent shape, there are no shabby Santa suits here! Size: Stocking Santa measures about 2¾" across, and is 4" tall, while sleigh Santa is 4" across, and about 3" tall.
