This is a vintage Christmas tree topper, made from a beautiful painted glass! Made in Poland during the 1970s for the Santa Land brand, this thin glass spire is an exceptionally pretty blue and gold. It's been topped with a bit of "snow" as well, which I think makes it perfect for a Winter decoration as well as for the holiday! Condition: This tree topper is in Good shape! There are no chips or cracks, but there is a little bit of wear to the paint. I do think it was used for at least one Christmas, as there's wear to the interior paint near the base, where it would have slid over the tree. One section of the spire has a factory paint drip, where the gold and blue have combined into a dark green. Additionally, there's scratching to the paint around the sphere as well as some snow loss in the same area. The sphere has just been rubbing around inside the box for years, and you can see a bit of the blue paint on the cardboard right where it rests. It does present nicely still, of course! The box itself no longer has the cellophane window, but is also in overall good shape. Size: The topper measures 11" tall, and the base is about ½" across, just wide enough to slip on to a good balsam tip!
