Vintage NITUFF Advertising Sample from Poly-Metal Finishing located in Springfield, MA. This item is somewhat rare as I have not found another one listed anywhere!! Nituff was developed in the 1970s and is a process which allows aluminum to be used in applications where high levels of wear and corrosion resistance are enhanced with the penetration of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene i.e. Teflon). The surface hardness of Nituff treated aluminum becomes comparable to case-hardened steel and it gains exceptional surface durability, high corrosion resistance, and much lower friction. Nituff is widely used in the automotive industry for brake systems, pistons, gears, etc., and is also used in the aircraft, marine and ordnance industries… and much more. Poly-Metal Finishing was founded in 1972 and works with the automotive and aircraft industries. This Nituff advertising sample is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. Poly-Metal Finishing label intact and displays very well as shown. Item measures about 3” long. See pics for more details.
