Handcarved Sgraffito technic gives this owl great texture and design. Multi-coloured glazes done in yellow underglaze, blue and brown overglaze and white and yellow glazes for his big eyes. Unmarked, but done in the style of John Beusmans, Carn Pottery. I had to forgive the small glaze nick on his nose and the tip of his ear, which can be easily touched up or leave as is because it blends in with the brown colouring on his front. No other chips or cracks. Measures just under 3" high x 2.75" wide x 1/5" deep. This little owl captures your heart with his big eyes and out-stretched wings, as if to say "Take Me Home" or are his wings behind his back as if to say "Good Day, Friend".
