Looking at this though, must consider how just a basic cookbook is being portrayed.

There is this theme of being elegant in the cover photo, some of the serving dishes being used, and even the hands on the back page holding on the product.

Then on front page have the wording " Miss Dine About Town", conveying that of a socialite.

At this time America was still in the depression, and cookbooks were designing themselves to be an escape from what was happening. Even though had to use simple ingredients. they gave the impression that life could be something else.
