This exquisite vintage wool needlepoint depicts the Askvoll Church (Askvoll kyrkje) in Sunnfjord, Norway. Completed in 1964, the piece is a faithful architectural portrait of the 1863 "long church," specifically highlighting its iconic tall green spire which was added in 1896 to give the structure its "proud" and distinctive silhouette. Excellent condition, still in its protective plastic.
