About The Record:

Live! Coast to Coast by Teddy Pendergrass, is a dynamic live album capturing the R&B crooner's electrifying stage presence with performances recorded in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. It features energetic renditions of his hits alongside a notable medley blending classics like If You Don't Know Me by Now, The Love I Lost, Bad Luck, and Wake Up Everybody, showcasing his roots with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. Standout tracks include powerful versions of Life Is a Song Worth Singing, Only You, Close the Door, and Turn Off the Lights, which remain fan-favorites for their passionate delivery and audience interaction. A unique element is the inclusion of spoken segments like the L.A. Rap and a live interview, adding a personal, engaging touch to the concert experience. The album itself was a hit, reaching No. 33 on the pop chart and No. 5 on the R&B chart, while singles from it such as Shout and Scream / Close the Door (live) peaked at No. 21 and It's You I Love at No. 44 on the R&B singles chart.
