Details
GOLD PROMO stamp on front. Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, small surface impressions (front/back); discoloration on back, date sticker near bottom-right of back. Inner-sleeve is original (plastic). Spine is partly readable with wear. Noticeable shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners; developing split in center of bottom edge. Opening is mostly crisp with signs of light use and divots, heavier towards bottom. (Not a cut-out.)
Flashpoint, by Tangerine Dream, is the soundtrack album for the film of the same name, marking the band's first major Hollywood film score commission. Composed by Edgar Froese, the album blends the band’s signature electronic sound with orchestral elements, reflecting their transition toward more cinematic compositions during the 1980s. Historically significant as one of the earliest instances of an electronic music group scoring a major American film, it showcased Tangerine Dream’s growing influence in both music and film industries. The album was primarily instrumental and designed to complement the film’s atmosphere rather than produce standalone tracks. Its evocative, synth-driven soundscapes remain a notable example of Tangerine Dream’s versatility and innovation in electronic music.
