Up for sale is a super nice Stanley #4 Type 7. It has the 3 S Foundry marks and the 3 pat. dates on the lateral adj. lever. The tote and knob are very nice with no cracks or chips. They have their original patina. Sharp. The Q logo on this iron is very sharp and it is stamped on both sides of the iron, I see this every now and then. Lot of iron left on a plane for this age. This plane has a grooved sole. Super nice 125 year old plane

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
