Another nice dangerously long spined Sharxx blue hybrid
Echinopsis cactus are well known for their big beautiful flowers at maturity. These plants will usually get to that place at 4-6 feet and specific growing conditions. Highly collectible for their looks, shape, and coloR, they make wonderful potted plants and landscaping plants.
Notes and Description. These ornamental plants are grown outdoors in full Southern California sun, no shadecloth, no greenhouse. Seed grown right here, not imported. They are healthy but some have some blemishes and marks maybe evidence of old pests even. We do our best to keep them healthy. I’ve recently knocked it down with an insecticide and fungicide. Plants sent unpotted or bare root when dry.

Growing columnar cactus I grow everything outdoors and in as much direct sun as possible. These don’t prefer to grow on a windowsill, they deserve outdoors or strong grow lights. 50/50 potting mix for really good drainage. 4 hours of direct ligjtis usable. 8 hours is really good. 12 hours is amazing! Work with what you got.
I feed every week if I can, with a a good even NPK or 10/20/20 type of ratio of liquid fertilizer. If you can do it monthly that’s fine also. A simple kelp and fish emulsion feed does well too. Utilize a calcium magnesium component monthly or quarterly also. This is year round, as these columns like to eat even in winter if possible to make up for the rain.
