Spiranthes is a genus of terrestrial orchids of about 25 species spread throughout the globe, and cernua is one of the species that grows wild in the US. It is found growing in moist fields, such as meadows, bogs, marshes and along river beds mostly in the mid-west and eastern states..

These are hard to find, most people that sell them are usually out of stock. Not us at B&B. If you have never grown orchids this is the easiest orchid to grow. As growing media is concerned it is very flexible. It needs loamy soil and must stay moist always. If you grow orchids this is a must have for your collection. Blooming season mid to late summer. Winter dormant

    Welcome to our store. We are Beauties & Beasts!! We are not commercial growers. We are plant hobbyists, for the hobbyist.

    Located in Carson, CA (South Los Angeles) with over 25 years of experience growing over 800 plants of various genera mainly cacti, succulents, orchids, and carnivorous plants. Assisted by my daughter, we enjoy growing plants, sharing the plants we grow, our experiences and achievements. We focus on promoting the hobby, education, and conservation. We are active members of various societies, and also serve on the board in various non profits. I am a proud co-founder of SCCPE (sccpe.org), a very active carnivorous plant society in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. We (SCCPE) host the largest carnivorous plant show and sale event in the world every June. Our event is growing more and more every year . We also participate in many local and not-so-local plant group meets, events, and shows. Feel free to contact us for any reason, we look forward hearing from you!! We also offer local pick up for those of you in the area. If you live in the LA, or will be visiting the area you can schedule a visit with us ahead of time. We are not open to the public for walk ins, only by appointment.
