About The Record:

Shinichi Violin School: Suzuki Method, Vol. 3 & Vol. 4, by Shinichi Suzuki, is a cornerstone recording of the world-famous Suzuki Method, often simply called “the Suzuki books” by generations of violin students and teachers. These volumes present progressively challenging repertoire for young violinists, featuring core classical works by Bach, Vivaldi, Seitz, and Veracini, performed as reference by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki himself with piano accompaniment. A unique and historically significant aspect is that this is one of the few official recordings where the method’s founder personally demonstrates the exact tone, phrasing, and musicality he wished students worldwide to emulate. Among the most beloved and widely recognized pieces are Bach’s Bourrée from Volume 3 and the complete set of Seitz concertos in Volume 4, which remain perennial student recital favorites decades later. Together, these albums have shaped violin pedagogy globally and are still considered essential listening for anyone studying or teaching the Suzuki approach.
