Condition: No Chips or Cracks. There is some discoloration on the flowers and some staining to the piece due to age. Overall good vintage condition considering age.

Description: This piece is a Redwing Hand-painted Pink Floral Mod-Abstract Teapot with Lid. In 1861 a German immigrant named John Paul began Redwing Stoneware in Redwing, Minnesota. Over the next several decades the company combined with many other companies. In the early 1900's technological advancements led to the use of white zinc based glaze along with rubber stamp decorations. In 1906 the Iconic Logo was adopted. During the 1940's-1960's Art Pottery and dinnerware are added to the companies production lines. Handpainted pieces are completed in an assembly line fashion, created by the Ford motor company and refined during WWII. The company will change hands a few more times, until it closes it's doors in 2019. Today there is a museum in Redwing that displays the pottery.
