This was originally half of a belt buckle. I removed the belt shank and loop and soldered on a NOS dress clip. It has been completely restoned with high quality crystal. There is a flaw in the piece on one of the strips of clear, a divot of metal is missing next to the cup of the topmost rhinestone. It shows as a dark spot.
Dress clips are so versatile! Wear one centered on your neckline or clip them to headbands, hatbands, purses, or wear as a substitute for a pocket square.

I have collected vintage costume jewelry since I was a teenager. Restoring damaged and poorly cared for pieces is my newest passion. These things were often worn during memorable occassions, sometimes the happiest ones in a person's life. I like to think I am helping them live on to do that again for others.
