Details
Vinyl pnilays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top, heavier across bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Live by Poco, a spirited live recording captured in late 1974 at venues including Yale University, showcases the band's post-Richie Furay lineup with Paul Cotton, Rusty Young, Timothy B. Schmit, and George Grantham delivering energetic country rock performances. The album opens with a standout medley blending Blue Water, Fool's Gold, and Rocky Mountain Breakdown, highlighting the group's instrumental prowess and diverse sounds, while tracks like the heavier take on Ride the Country, the melodic High and Dry, and a rocking rendition of A Good Feelin' to Know as the closer emphasize their signature harmonies and guitar work. Fans particularly cherish versions such as Angel and Restrain for their extended solos and live intensity that surpass the studio originals in energy. Uniquely, the album's delayed release after the band's switch to a new label created marketplace confusion with their concurrent Rose of Cimarron, inadvertently boosting its visibility among supporters despite limited promotion. This second live effort from Poco stands as a solid representation of their mid-1970s transitional phase, capturing the group's enduring appeal in concert settings.
