Paragon Fine Bone China Tea Cup Saucer Set 1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Blue and Gold Double Warrant

$120.00

Details

This lovely, double warrant, tea cup and saucer set was made by Paragon in England in 1953 to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Both pieces have a light blue band and are decorated with a sprig of colorful flowers in the center and gold scrolls with "ER" and the Royal crown. Both have gilt around the rims and on the handle and foot of the tea cup.

They are marked in black on the bottom and feature two different Royal Warrant marks. These marks indicate a company that has supplied goods to the Royal family for at least five years. Royal warrants are a sign of quality and are highly sought after by manufacturers.

Condition: The set is in very good, vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Both pieces ring nicely.
