One Gazillion Sports Cards (okay, 40+ Pounds Worth)

$100.00

Details

No, I did not raid American Arbitrage’s non-discretionary inventory of cards. Just a collection of cards I amassed over several years of thrifting. Mostly baseball with some football and basketball cards as well as a few non-sport cards. I have not picked through any of this as I do not have the time or, more to the point, the patience to do so. Some junk wax in here as well as box sets that appear to be from the early to mid 1980s. I make no claims about completeness of any of these sets; I’m guessing that this mass of cards has had more picks than this year‘s Dallas Cowboys offense (Go Birds!). When I weighed them in their totes, the total weight was 48 pounds, so I am calling it 40 pounds to be conservative. Totes are not included, and the loose cards will be packaged neatly for shipping. Condition of cards range from near mint (namely those in the boxes) to acceptable. Some pictures show the backs of cards to give you an indication of the year and company of the box sets, not to indicate the most valuable cards that might be in there (if there is a reason why I would show Larry Bowa of the 1980s, it is to represent the disappointment that was the Philadelphia team from about 1985 to 1992, but I digress).
