Used North Face Surge backpack, Women's Edition (the straps are more curved to be more comfortable to women, and the pack is slightly smaller, maybe around 28-29L instead of the Men's Edition, which is 31L). Got it used, thinking a smaller version might work for me since I'm a shorter guy. It's a great pack, but I moved on to something bigger because of all the gear I haul around for work. Everything works. It's comfortable, and when you're not using all of the space it can compress down to look way smaller/thinner than it is. When it's fully loaded out and the compression straps are loosened, it does a good job of standing up on its own. Lots of organizational pockets.

NOTE:Minor pink stain inside the front admin compartment, some pen marks in the main compartment, and there's a small hole in the fabric next to the zipper of the rear laptop compartment. The backpack came with this defect, and in using it for about a year it my laptop/papers never got wet when it rained/snowed (I did use a rain cover when in anything closer to heavy rain/snow fall though).
