Details
Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Gate-fold cover has a few creases near edges, very light-scuffing and some tiny discoloration spots (front/back/inner-gate). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is unbroken and easy-to-read. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use. (Notch in bottom-right.)
All You Need Is the Music, by Neil Sedaka, marked a continuation of his 1970s comeback with a mix of upbeat pop and nostalgic tracks, showcasing his signature melodic style. The album, primarily written with lyricist Phil Cody, features a blend of contemporary pop and retro rock-and-roll, though it did not chart significantly, reflecting a dip in Sedaka's commercial resurgence. A standout track, Should've Never Let You Go, a duet with his daughter Dara Sedaka, became a notable hit, reaching the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 5 on the Adult Contemporary chart, later covered by Bernadette Peters. Other tracks like Candy Kisses and Tillie the Twirler highlight Sedaka's knack for catchy melodies, though they didn't achieve major chart success. Historically, the album is significant as part of Sedaka's Elektra years (1977–1981), a period of reinvention following his earlier Brill Building success.
