Details
Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is unbroken, clean and easy-to-read. Minor shelf-wear along top-edge, heavier across bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Music For The Miracle by various artists is a charity compilation album featuring an eclectic mix of hit songs by 1980s stars including Huey Lewis & The News, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Lionel Richie, George Michael, Sade, Bruce Springsteen, The Pointer Sisters, Cyndi Lauper, Tears for Fears, REO Speedwagon, and Paul Young, among others, all to benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation's fight against leukemia and cancer. A unique and interesting fact is that the entire album was recorded in an astonishing single 11-hour session at New York City's Sigma Sound Studios, showcasing the music industry's rapid mobilization for a cause. Historically significant as one of the earliest major benefit projects spotlighting leukemia and cancer research through celebrity collaboration, it captured the era's spirit of communal support amid rising health crises. Popular songs and fan-favorites from the tracklist include the high-energy Heart And Soul by Huey Lewis & The News, the synth-pop staple Out Of Touch by Daryl Hall & John Oates, Cyndi Lauper's playful She Bop, and the soulful Careless Whisper by George Michael. Though the album achieved no chart success and remains a limited-edition collector's gem, its legacy endures among 80s music and charity album aficionados.
