Details
Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges and light-scuffing (front/back); front has a few surface impressions and back has some slight discoloration with darker spots. Inner-sleeve is original (poly-lined paper). Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Greatest Hits, by Mills Brothers, compiles their most iconic recordings, showcasing their smooth harmonies and innovative vocal techniques that influenced jazz and pop music. Active from the 1920s, the group broke racial barriers as one of the first African-American acts to gain widespread acclaim, performing for both Black and white audiences during a segregated era. The album includes hit singles like Paper Doll, which sold over six million copies and topped charts in 1943, and You Always Hurt the One You Love, a 1944 classic that resonated with wartime audiences. Other notable tracks, such as Glow Worm highlight their versatility, blending barbershop, jazz, and pop styles. This collection underscores their legacy as pioneers who paved the way for future vocal groups.
