Mid Century Pair of Candelabras by BM Silver Co.

This set would make a great gift for the holidays as they are a true treasure!

Both stand 5"T, 8.25" across and 4"W. They hold standard .75" taper candles. Each one holds three candles. They are both heavy and gorgeous in stature.

It's in great, vintage condition. Free from chips, cracks or dents to the metal. There is some tarnishing to the silver, as you can see from the photos.

The candelabras are vintage, dating from approximately the 1940s to the 1960s. They are identified as "mid-century" style pieces made by the Benedict Manufacturing Company (BM Co.). The Benedict Manufacturing Company, the maker of these silver-plated items, was active as a company from the 1890s until it went out of business around 1953. The specific style of the candelabras, however, is characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern design movement, which generally dates from the mid-1940s to the late 1960s. Based on their design, these pieces are consistent with production in the latter part of the company's operation or shortly thereafter, likely placing them in the 1940s, 1950s, or early 1960s.
