Christmas With, by Mexicali Brass, by the Mexicali Brass is a 1964 instrumental holiday album released on the budget label Crown Records, featuring upbeat Tijuana Brass-style arrangements of classic Christmas carols with prominent trumpets, marimbas, and percussion. The 10-track collection includes lively renditions of Jingle Bells, White Christmas, Silent Night, Deck the Halls, and Joy to the World, blending traditional hymns with a festive, Latin-infused easy listening sound that evokes finger-snapping energy and party atmospheres. Historically significant as one of the earliest entries in the mid-1960s wave of Tijuana Brass knockoffs capitalizing on Herb Alpert's massive popularity, it predates Alpert's own 1968 Christmas Album and was reissued multiple times, including in 1968 with new cover art to ride the holiday brass trend. Originally titled Jingle Bells in some pressings, the album exemplifies the era's budget-label cash-ins on the "Ameriachi" craze, often produced anonymously or under pseudonyms for quick market saturation. Despite its nostalgic appeal and cult following among collectors, the album produced no hit singles and did not chart.
