Indigo, by Matt Bianco, marked the trio's successful return after a three-year hiatus, reuniting original members Mark Reilly and Danny White with new vocalist Basia Trzetrzelewska fully integrated as a core member following her guest appearances on previous records. The album blended the band's signature sophisticated Latin-flavored jazz-pop sound with stronger dance and house influences, reflecting the late-80s UK club scene while retaining their smooth, upbeat style. Standout tracks include the breezy, perennial fan-favorite Good Times, the sultry Nervous, and the infectiously groovy title track Indigo, with the romantic It's Getting Late also beloved by longtime listeners. A unique highlight is the inclusion of a re-recorded version of their earlier hit Don't Blame It on That Girl, now featuring Basia on lead vocals and infused with fresh energy. The lead single Don't Blame It on That Girl / Wap-Bam-Boogie (a double A-side) became the band's biggest-ever hit, peaking at No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart.
