Vinyl plays with occasional crackles (play-graded). 12" Single. Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine has no-text and heavy wear. Shelf-wear along bottom-edge, heavier across top-edge and corners. Opening shows signs of harsh use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Shake It (12" Single), by Marascia, is a seminal release in the early 2000s tribal house and tech-house scene, driven by the infectious lead track Shake It (often credited as Marascia vs. Dusty Kid in later re-releases). Its distinctive rhythmic vocal hook – a looped female voice commanding “shake it!” over pounding tribal percussion and a relentless bassline – made it an instant underground anthem in clubs across Europe. The original 12" features the iconic Original Mix alongside the deeper, moodier Tribal Mix, both becoming staple weapons for DJs like Steve Lawler, Danny Tenaglia, and Pete Tong, who heavily supported it on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix. What makes the record particularly interesting is its raw, stripped-back production that perfectly captured the transition from progressive house to the tougher tribal/tech sound that dominated the mid-2000s. Shake It remains a fan-favorite classic among house and techno enthusiasts and is frequently cited as one of the defining tribal house tracks of its era.
