Details
Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles; noticeable crackle patches during "First Time" and "Never Rains" (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing, surface abrasions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); two seams partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear and thatching. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
"Alive" Again Naturally, by Lettermen, is a live recording capturing the group's signature close-harmony pop sound during a performance lasting over two hours, edited to fit the vinyl format. Produced by Ed Cobb, the album features a mix of contemporary covers and original tracks, reflecting the trio’s effort to appeal to younger audiences by dropping "The" from their name during this period. While the album itself did not chart significantly, it includes a cover of Gilbert O'Sullivan’s Alone Again (Naturally), a melancholic ballad that was a major hit in 1972, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for six non-consecutive weeks. The Lettermen’s rendition of this song did not achieve the same commercial success, but the album remains a notable snapshot of their live performance prowess and adaptability in the early 1970s. Historically, the album reflects the group’s transition through changing musical trends while maintaining their romantic, harmonic style.
