Details
Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges and light-scuffing (front/back); front bottom right corner has a bend and back has a few surface impressions. Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics). Spine is mostly readable with mild wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use. Cream colored WB label. (Notch in top-left.)
Here, is the seventh studio album by English-Australian singer-songwriter Leo Sayer, marking a continuation of his exploration into a more mellow, soulful sound with influences from American groove music. The album, though less commercially successful than his earlier works, is noted for its quality and features contributions from notable musicians like Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn, and Ray Parker Jr.. It includes tracks like The World Has Changed and When the Money Runs Out, the latter being a funky single co-written with Ray Parker Jr., reflecting Sayer’s evolving style. While Here did not produce major hit singles, it remains a respected part of Sayer’s discography for its craftsmanship and has been described as a “quality product that has been largely forgotten”. Historically, the album coincided with Sayer’s peak popularity in the UK, where his compilation The Very Best of Leo Sayer topped the charts in the same year, cementing his status as a leading artist of the 1970s.
