Details
Vinyl plays with some crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing, surface impressions (front/back); tiny surface abrasion near top-right of front, sticker residue near bottom-right of front. Inner-sleeve is original (generic blue). Spine is mostly easy-to-read with wear. Minor shelf-wear along top-edge, heavier bottom-edge and corners. Opening shows signs of use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Duotones, by saxophonist Kenny G, peaked at No. 1 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, No. 5 on the Jazz Albums chart, No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and No. 8 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album was certified 5× Platinum by the RIAA. It also produced three singles: Don't Make Me Wait for Love (No. 2 Adult Contemporary and No. 15 Hot 100), What Does It Take (to Win Your Love) (No. 15 Hot R&B Tracks) and Songbird (No. 3 Adult Contemporary and No. 4 Hot 100. A reviewer on allmusic.com says about the album: "Kenny G's breakthrough effort featured the hit Songbird, which is the definitive example of the saxophonist's smooth, lyrical playing; the rest of the album is nearly as good, highlighting his melodic, jazzy pop."
