Details
Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover has moderate scuffing, creasing, small surface abrasions, and some surface impressions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (Reprise info); three seams partially split. Spine is somewhat readable with noticeable wear and split near center. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of use and divots. Initials written on inside of sleeve. Brown label. (Not a cut-out.)
Benefit was the first Jethro Tull album to include pianist and organist John Evan though he was not yet a permanent member of the group and the last to include bass guitarist Glenn Cornick. This album was more hard-rocking and transcended, relying less on blues influences. It also incorporated more advanced studio techniques, such as backward-recorded flute (on With You There To Help Me) and piano, and sped-up guitar (on Play In Time). The album peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Albums Chart. The song Inside was released as a single.
